Previously known SSI registered entities are now recognized and registered as MSME, i.e.; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. MSME stands for Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises, classified based on the yearly revenue in business. These entities own an MSME registration certificate, filed with the MSME Department of the Central Government below the MSME Development Act, 2006.
